My current non-uni and non-kindle reading book is Jasper Fforde's Lost in a Good Book. It is the sequel to The Eyre Affair, which I recommend to anyone, especially those of you who are familiar with the classics - Austen, Shakespeare, Dickens.  The Eyre Affair is such a mix of genres, plots, characters, and was such a good read - can be both a deep read or a light read depending on how you approach it - that I purchased it's sequel Lost in a Good Book.  So far, it lives up to its predecessor, and I hope you will give both of them a go, especially if you love the idea of a world where literature is so revered that it has its own Special Operations department of the police!
