I have a new obsession.  It has been a long time coming.  And I mean a loooooooong time.  All last year whilst watching and reading my fave youtubers and bloggers with their candle hauls I admit a part of me though ptscccccccchhhhhhhhhhhh candles?  Who spends money on candles?  My mother buys big vanilla ones in glass pots for really good prices at Ikea.  They're actually really good you know, and come in a few flavours.  Anyways, so their I was thinking hah you waste your money on candles when a couple of people mentioned the Yankee Candle Christmas collection.  It was the sweet smells that got me.  I think they were talking about Christmas Cookie and the like, and my mind clicked and i liked!  Anyways, I still couldn't justify spending that amount of money on a candle, so trawled eBay looking for said Christmas Cookie Candle - found it cheaply but then though aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh what if it breaks on its way to me?  And never ordered.  Now feast your eyes on the next pic whilst I prepare to tell you my tale.
My mother and I were wondering through T K Maxx - she looking for baby clothes, me looking for make up - when she called me over to this Beauty.  She did, you see, know of my quest for a Candle of Yankee.  It was the only one there.  No other Yankee Candles.  No more of this flavour.  And I opened it.  What hit me first was the smell of sharp apple.  The kind of green apple that I don't eat (I only like sweet fruit).  But almost immediately after that, its softened completely by the scent of sugar.  Now don't go putting your head in the sugar jar because tbh that's not the kind of sugar I'm talking about.  What this sugar is is the sugar on a creme brulee.  Slightly hot, but not burnt.  That smell that hits you when its under the grill.  That's what this is.  I suppose together they kind of make an apple pie.  But they don't.
What you really need to know about this is that it is scrumptious.  I wish I could eat it, but actually I know better than to eat wax.  It has a burn time of 110-150 hours, but I've barely used it because I'm scared of what happens when the yum dies=[.  The size is the Large Classic Jar, and I'm sure when it's finished, the jar will be good for my little bits and bobs that run around my make up area.  Oh and it was £9.99.  Pretty good right.  I know these aren't available in all T K Maxx's because I've looked in another store since, and didn't find any, although I found an unbranded chocolate hazelnut one, which I will share with you soon.
Hope you like this post, and my epiphany when it comes to candles!

Coincidentally, Mary Pops is one of my fave films, and as such I think I shall be logging onto an online shopping site to buy it now:

He knows a song
