My parents went away in October, and I decided to ask them to pick me up a few goodies from duty free. First up was Gucci Guilty, which they came home without as it was the same price at duty free! Second was my Mac pressed powder which had run out, and 3rd was two new items that I had been very curious about - Paint Pots. It took me a long time to decide which ones to ask for - I had more or less decided on Blackground, (described as a black-grey with multi colour) as black is a staple in both my everyday and evening eye looks. The second was trickier to decide upon - I couldn't figure out if I wanted a very nude colour, or something a bit more fancy shmancy! In the end I decided upon Constructivist - said to be a metallic brown with red pearl
I absolutely love these products. They are smooth, but at the same time slightly stiff, so you feel like they are not going to slip off your eyelids. They can be applied very sheerly, or very heavily, for different looks.
The last picture is a truer representation of the colours, however, the shimmer and nuances of the colours can't quite be seen. Constructivist leans a slightly warmer brown that it appears, and is a pearlised colour - i love wearing this as the base to a brown smoky eye or as an all over, quite heavy wash of colour, with black eyeliner. Blackground is more shimmery than the pictures show it in real life, and is just fabulous. With this one product you can create an entire smoky eye, just by varying the intensity of application.
I am now looking to purchase a more flesh coloured, nude toned paint pot, or a paint, as I am interested in those as well!
I hope you found this interesting,
Love A.x
